Taxidermy by Josh Hunt

Welcome to Deer Creek Wildlife Studio!
Located in Morgan Utah, Deer Creek Wildlife Studio is a taxidermy business owned and operated by Josh and Kerrilyn Hunt. Josh grew up in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, where time spent in the outdoors, hiking, fishing, trapping and hunting, were family traditions. His love and respect for wildlife and the outdoors is what ultimately led him to pursue his career in taxidermy. Josh graduated from Lancaster Mennonite High School and received awards for his photography including a Gold Key and The American Vision Award from the Scholastic Art and Writing Awards.
Josh then attended Idaho State University where he met Kerrilyn. Josh earned a bachelor's degree in Zoology and Kerrilyn earned a degree in Sign Language Interpreting. Instead of pursing a medical career, however, Josh felt a desire to do something using his artistic talents. After looking into taxidermy, he attended the Advanced Taxidermy Training Center of Northwest Montana in 2006. Since then, he has since worked as a full-time taxidermist for several distinguished taxidermy companies. He has also competed in taxidermy competitions and won several awards for his work. With his experience, knowledge, and artistic skill as a taxidermist and with Kerrilyn's support, they run a rewarding and successful taxidermy business. As you review their work, you'll be able to see that they take pride in their taxidermy and will create a piece of artwork that you will be proud to display in your home for years to come.
